To install the Cookie Banner on your WordPress website follow the instructions below.
- Download the WordPress plugin from our by searching in WordPress for CookieFirst or download the plugin here directly from the WordPress plugin directory
- Login to your CookieFirst account and copy the API key for the domain and add it in the plugin.
- If you’re using a plugin that supports the WordPress Consent API you’ll see a section where you can map the values of the CookieFirst categories to the ones for the WordPress consent API.
- Paste the key in the CF plugin settings you can find this under “Settings” in your WordPress install.
- Embedding the automatically generated cookie policy can be done by either placing the following short code. cf_declaration
if you’re using Gutenberg editor there is also a Gutenberg block for the cookie policy.
